Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen, Denmark Mission

Thursday, July 21, 2016

Well it's official....I'm going to Denmark!

I finally get to open my mission call

My mom guessed correctly that I was going to Copenhagen, Denmark!

I am SO excited! I leave to go to the Provo MTC ( Missionary Training Center) on August 10th, and I will preach the gospel in the Danish language.

For those reading this, who aren’t familiar with how being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints works, first I go to a Training center in Provo Utah. I will be there for about 6 weeks, and will learn how to speak Danish, how to teach the gospel, and how to be a missionary. I will always have a companion with me, (another girl who is also going to serve in Denmark) and I will be in a "zone", a group of Elders and Sisters who are also going to serve in Denmark, or other surrounding countries.

When I finish my time at the MTC, I will fly to Denmark with other missionaries, and from there, we will be assigned to go serve in different parts of the country by the Mission President. (A Missi
on President is a man and his wife who are kind of like our “parents” while we are over there. They keep tabs on the missionaries, help us and take care of us).

I will be be able to email friends and family once a week, and FaceTime home on Mothers Day and Christmas.

I can't wait to begin this new adventure!
